Fun fact: As a kid, I hated the idea of being healthy so much that I convinced myself smoothies were nasty — and that was without ever trying one.
It wasn’t until my late teen years that I finally gave them a shot. And I’m a little ashamed to admit it (not really)... but once I came to my senses?
Game. Changer.
Now here I am — smoothie in hand — sharing some of my favorites with you.
Bare with me, because there's a lot. Oh, wait, I'm only giving you three.
🍒CHERRY C MONSTER
Every time I leave my aerial class, I have to stop by Juice Generation for a Cherry C Monster smoothie.
It’s refreshing in the best way — especially after a challenging workout at the studio. It’s got a bit of sweet, a little sour, and just the right amount of tang. My body literally craves it post-workout.
Disclaimer: It’s no longer on the official menu 🥲, but since I’m a regular, they still make it for me.
Fingers crossed they’ll do the same for you.
🍍PINEAPPLE BANANA & MANGO
This right here is my classic go-to.
If I’m getting a custom smoothie, it will always be this combo right here.
When made right, this blend gives instant tropical vibes, no matter the weather outside. That’s the key though — it has to be made right. And not everyone knows how to do that.
One of the best versions I’ve had was at a spot in Brooklyn called Jus Juice. (if you’re in the area, try it!.. and grab a salmon burger while you’re at it..you won’t regret it).
I make this one at home all the time. It’s easy, fruity, and never lets me down.
🥬KALE’M W. KINDNESS
Okay, so I think by now you’ve noticed a pattern:
I’m a fruit smoothie kind of girl — not too big on the veggies.
BUT this smoothie? Is one I make an exception for.
When I worked at a juice bar, I used to boombastic side-eye the Kale’m with Kindness smoothie. Only because my mind was playing tricks on me. Like... kale? In a smoothie? Yuck.
At first, I was not having it. But then I started tweaking the ingredients — adding a bit more pineapple and mango here, a little less banana and kale there, avocado for richness — and eventually, it wasn’t so bad after all. My taste buds actually grew to like it..a lot.
Now? I drink it almost every day with lunch.
She’s part of the routine now.
